Blog " Successful Bulgarian Entrepreneurs to Share Their Experience at the First Sales Club Conference in Sofia
Learn more about the upcoming business forum from Andrean Borisov – COO and Co-founder of… Codexio
On September 30 in Sofia, the first Sales Club Conference will be held, bringing together Bulgarian entrepreneurs who have successfully developed and established their businesses in Bulgaria. The event is organized by the Bulgarian software company Codexio. The plan is for Sales Club to become an annual forum where small and large businesses alike can share their challenges and the experience they gain in overcoming them.
Andrean Borisov – COO and Co-founder of Codexio, shares more about the upcoming conference. Andrean has extensive experience in sales, building business relationships and partnerships, and eventually fostering strong friendships. Over the years, he has been part of the strategic teams of various large organizations, mainly in the fields of education, technology, and innovation.
The first Sales Club Conference 2022 is coming up. How was the idea for this event born, and what is its purpose?
The idea arose from the various initiatives we are involved in. During the development process, the concept went through several refinements until it became what we expect on September 30th. It turned out that I know quite a few people who have business ideas or have started side projects but are unsure how to develop them and what the next steps should be.
Once the concept crystallized based on practical experience, we decided that this experience should be shared and, if possible, on an annual basis.
Where and when will it take place?
The first Sales Club Conference will take place on September 30 in Sofia, at the Sopharma Business Towers Event Center
How will it take place? What is the program, and where can we view it?
It will take place in a single day across the three halls of the event center simultaneously. Two of the halls will host panelists and speakers, while the third will feature workshops and engaging activities with the audience. The idea is for the audience to take the lead in the third hall, with a topic assigned to them in advance. The program will be revealed very soon. All information related to the event is available at his website and in social media.
Who are the speakers and what topics will they cover? What criteria did you follow in selecting them?
The most important thing, if it can be called a criterion, is that the speakers are business professionals who, like us, face a variety of challenges every day in the environment. That is why our lectures are scheduled to be slightly longer, during which different topics will be presented and developed in a “problem-solution” direction.
Which speakers and presentations are you personally most looking forward to, and why?
I couldn’t be categorical in my answer, because each of them is a person who has something valuable to share with the audience and can provide added value to the people listening. Each colleague and their presentation covers a different level and area of business. They are like a caterpillar track, complementing each other. So personally, I am looking forward to every topic.
Who is the event suitable for? How many people and of what kind do you expect to participate?
The slogan of the event is "From entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs," but it should not be taken literally. The topics will be useful both for people who are just starting out or have recently started a business, as well as for those who already run established companies.
Since the pandemic is still part of our daily lives, we have planned for the event to be streamed online as well. We expect around 300–350 attendees on-site and at least the same number online.
What are the ticket prices?
Currently, the tickets are still in the Early Bird phase and range from 15 to 80 BGN. Prices vary depending on whether the audience wants to attend online only, both physically and online, and whether they wish to participate in the networking cocktail after the event.
The event page states that your goal is to share knowledge and focus on the small things that lead to significant growth. From your experience, what are these “small things”?
“The ‘small things’ mean different things to everyone. The nice part is that we ourselves will also see what exactly our colleagues understand by these ‘small things.’”
Personally, for me, one “small thing” that doesn’t cost much but gives a lot is a personal approach. Besides that, another significant “small thing” is the attitude with which you respond to the circumstances that come your way. Some of us perceive them as insurmountable, while others see them as opportunities. And here comes the interesting part – what follows in each case.
Why is an event like this necessary for the entrepreneurial environment in Bulgaria, and what makes it different?
There are plenty of events in the business environment, that’s an undeniable fact. This ecosystem of entrepreneurs and businesspeople can be seen at almost any of them, showcasing their brand or product. In that sense, if Sales Club Conference 2022 were just another one of these events, it would lose its very purpose of happening.
Our greatest desire is to stand out in the core information. We don’t want it to be broad and general, but specific. We want it to provide answers to those who will ask questions to the participants and speakers on stage. Each of them is an authority in their field, and as such, they are the right person to provide the answer.
And last but not least – for each of us to leave the event with the feeling that today we have added something new to our experience.
